A unique protected natural area for New Zealand's endangered
wildlife. Over 35 km of bush tracks and paths criss-cross
252 hectares of regenerating forest, offering walks and activities
for everyone. See a 19th century goldmine, wander along the
scenic kiwi trail or picnic on the lawn by the wetlands.
Customised guided tours and nocturnal tours also available.
Bookings for tours essential. Open every day (except
Christmas Day) from 10am to 5pm (or 10am to 4pm on weekdays during
April to Nov).
